Procedures To Be Followed In The Event Of Equality Of Votes
(1) The Court shall, while recounting the votes in the course of trying a petition referred to in Section 27 or 28, count the votes secured by all candidates of the concerned election constituency.
(2) The counting of the votes pursuant to Sub-section (1) shall be done in  the presence of the candidate or his or her agent.
Provided that, where information on the counting of votes has been duly given, nothing shall bar the counting of votes by the reason of the absence of the
candidate or his or her agent.
(3) Where, in counting the votes pursuant to Sub-section (1), two or more than two candidates secure an equal number of votes, the Court shall make decide
by lot between the candidates who secure the equal number of votes; and the candidate selected as per that decision shall be deemed to have been elected by
securing one additional vote.
